For our October session on the 30th, we will be hosting Alessia Cavallo and Svjetlana Miocinovic.

Alessia Cavallo, MS, is currently pursuing her PhD in the Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Unit at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Her research focuses on developing adaptive DBS and BCI technologies for Parkinson’s disease, integrating computational modeling and machine learning approaches. The title of her talk will be “Motor State-Dependent Effects of Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson’s Disease.”

Svjetlana Miocinovic, MD, PhD, is a neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremor and other movement disorders. She is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Emory University, where her research focuses on the electrophysiology of human motor circuits and the development of device-based therapies. The title of her talk will be “Optimizing Deep Brain Stimulation Using Physiologic Signals and Biophysical Modeling.”
