“ReTuneIn” Podcast Debuts with Fresh Perspectives on Movement Disorders

TRR 295 ReTune Podcast – research on the brain and movement

TRR 295 ReTune is pleased to announce the launch of ReTuneIn, a podcast series that brings the latest research and insights on movement disorders directly to you. In each episode, we engage with leading scientists and clinicians to discuss innovative approaches, challenges, and progress in the field.

Episode 1: Delving into Dystonia Research

The first episode features two researchers, Lisa Harder and Yangfan Peng, who share insights from their work:

  • Lisa Harder discusses her research on cortico-striatal plasticity and how genetic and environmental factors influence the development of dystonia. She highlights her work with non-invasive temporal interference stimulation in dystonic mice. That’s an approach aimed at improving our understanding and treatment of the condition.
  • Yangfan Peng explores neuronal population dynamics and shares his experiences using advanced Neuropixels probes to study motor control. His work sheds light on how brain regions interact during movement, contributing to a deeper understanding of movement disorders.

Why Listen to ReTuneIn?

ReTuneIn offers a platform for exploring the complexities of movement disorders from multiple angles — molecular, neurological, and clinical. With engaging discussions and expert insights, the podcast aims to make cutting-edge research accessible to both professionals and those interested in understanding more about the brain and movement.

What’s Next?

Episode 2 will feature researchers from Area B, focusing on circuit modeling and imaging to enhance our understanding of motor networks. Stay tuned for more episodes that explore different dimensions of movement disorders research.
