ReTune Strengthens Collaboration with ADAPT-PD at Retreat in Sweden
On 12 and 13 May 2025, members of the ReTune consortium took part in the ADAPT-PD Retreat held in Helsingborg, Sweden. The meeting brought together researchers involved in the EU-funded project ADAPT-PD, which is coordinated by the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance (DRCMR) and focuses on the development of adaptive deep brain stimulation (aDBS) for Parkinson’s disease.
The retreat provided an opportunity for intensive scientific exchange, discussion of ongoing research, and alignment of project goals. Several ReTune researchers were present, including Andrea Kühn, Patricia Krause, Yangfan Peng, Juliette Vivien, Charlotte Stensholt, Jeroen Habets, Arian Memarpouri, and Jonathan Kaplan.
They presented posters and gave insights into their current research.
ReTune’s participation reflects the growing collaboration between ReTune and ADAPT-PD, with both consortia contributing complementary expertise to the study and advancement of brain stimulation technologies. The two-day programme included presentations, group discussions, and collaborative working sessions in an open and productive atmosphere in Helsingborg.
