NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence strengthens neuroscience in Berlin
The NeuroCure Cluster of Excellence has been funded by the federal and state governments since 2007.
The cluster focuses on research into neurological and psychiatric disorders. The aim of this interdisciplinary research network is to gain a better understanding of disease mechanisms and to develop new therapies based on the latest findings.
NeuroCure will continue to receive funding in the coming funding period as part of the Excellence Strategy. This will enable the successful work on researching neurological and psychiatric diseases to be continued and further expanded.
Since 2007, scientists from clinical and basic research have been working together in an interdisciplinary manner within the cluster to better understand the complex mechanisms of the brain and the causes of numerous diseases. In addition to individual clinical pictures, the focus is primarily on overarching pathophysiological processes that can play a role in various neurological and psychiatric disorders.
